Mobility Pathways

I’m not 100% sure how to phrase this, but this idea is about progressions between routines (and beyond). For example. I’ve done both of the ‘Total Shoulder Mobility’ routines some time ago. Many of those exercises are favourites and in (or will be in) Custom Routines. When I got to the end of Shoulder Mobility II – I thought well what next? Or where next – hence pathways.

Not all of this can be answered in the app – why there are separate ‘Control’ series – but perhaps some of it can. Perhaps it’s about linking to more advanced exercises for an area, but also progressing to working an adjacent area in conjunction e.g T-spine here. Or more “advanced” variations & progressions like we see on the Mobility / Strength Live sessions? It’s a bit like knowing how to progress things via the PM philosophies – work end ranges, be conscious of ingrained associations etc.. Can the app include anything at this level – like meta-routines.

This is very vague I know and not a feature on it’s own, but it’s an idea that might lead to other more specific things.

It’s like answering the question ‘Where do I go from here ?’ – when completing all the scheduled sessions for a routine.

We have a feature in development that shows a prompt after completing all routines in a set that says, “Here’s what we recommend next…” and shows a routine… This is a basic version of what you’re describing here… when this launches would it be what you’re after?

Hi Eric. What you propose is certainly something in that direction. So – short version is yes. I’ve another idea in this vein which I’ll log separately.
